Workaround for #ASAE10 bloggers

Quick note which might be of interest to anyone planning on blogging at #ASAE10. After my little rant yesterday about the conference website, Joe at ASAE sent me an email about a workaround for pointing to individual sessions and gave me permission to print it here. Thanks Joe! This will definitely be helpful for me if I successfully liveblog any of the specific sessions I'll be attending, so hopefully it might come in handy for you too.

Hi Maddie-

Saw your blog post about Annual. Thanks for spreading the word about all the great stuff going on. I wanted to let you know there’s a fix (albeit an imperfect one) for your point about there not being individual session links on the Annual Meeting site.

On the main site (www.asaeannualmeeting.org), you’re correct that you can’t link directly to an individual session page. On the Hub site (http://asae10.org), however, you can link directly to session info. Here’s a link to Jamie Notter’s session, for example:

http://asae10.org/session.cfm?sessionId=51218

To get to these, go to http://asae10.org, click “Explore” on the left, and then browse through the session listings.

Of course, the navigation shouldn’t require this kind of explanation, so your point is well taken on future conference sites, but I thought I’d point this out for you anyway in case you still want to highlight any individual sessions.

Thanks! See you in LA.
